That’s a Wrap! The Wrap Maxi Dress
I’ve watched enough makeover shows to know a wrap dress is a staple of any woman’s wardrobe. Comfortable, elegant, and universally flattering, they are an enduring style for a reason. Enter Number 9’s maxi wrap dress, a ¾ sleeve wrap dress with fun frilly sleeves and hemline. This dress will make you feel like sashaying all day.
The wrap dress runs a little smaller than the other Number 9 dresses, and there is no stretch, so I’d suggested sizing up to allow for a comfortable fit. I opted for a size XL, instead of my usual size L. If you have a bigger bust you might have issues with the top pulling apart a bit too much, it was a quick fix with a safety pin.
The high-to-low hemline is great because it means the length isn’t too overwhelming on my short frame and it gives a dramatic, romantic feel to the dress. It starts mid-calf below the knee at the front and goes to the floor in the back. This dress is longer than the usual Number 9 Fashion styles, so it will be great for taller ladies.
This dress comes in three prints a black tropical print, a light blue cherry blossoms print, and a khaki with butterflies and daisies print. I’ll be styling these for a variety of occasions.
First is the black tropical print. This is such a fun bright summery print. It has huge bursts of tropical inspired fuschia, green and blue flowers. I styled this for a night out with a fuschia belt, gold hoop earrings, and black high-heel sandals. I think it would also look great with blue, green, or yellow accessories.
Second is the light blue cherry blossoms print I styled for a summer garden party. The print is such a beautiful watercolour-style print with cream cherry blossoms. I pared down my accessories to really let this beautiful print shine. I styled it with tan high-heeled sandals and silver hoop earrings. I think this print would also look beautiful with blush or cream accessories.
Finally is the khaki dress with blue and white white butterflies and red and pink daisies. I styled this for a day out with tan accessories including a tan belt, tan high-heeled sandals, and a wicker purse. I think this print would also look great with red or peachy pink accessories.
All of these dresses are now available on Number 9 Fashion’s website. Let me know in the comments which look is your favourite!
